1. Check information about visas on the ICP website, (For all Emirates)
ICP carries out visa services for all of the UAE except Dubai.
Steps:
- Go directly to the ICP official website by using this link: https://icp.gov.ae
- Hit the “Public Services” button in the sidebar.
- Go to “Validate Files”
- Enter the number from your passport, your nationality and your birth date.
- Click “Search”
Your visa information such as its expiry date and validity status, will show up on the page
2. Check Dubai Visa via GDRFA Website
If Dubai is written on your visa, use the GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs) portal.
Steps:
- Visit https://www.gdrfad.gov.ae
- To see the current visa status, click on “Visa Status Inquiry.”
- Experienced workers recommend using “File” as your inquiry type.
- Provide your file number, information from your passport, your date of birth and what nationality you hold
- Send in the form to check the status of your visa.

- Enter your passport number, file number or Emirates ID.
